The study measures antibodies to SARS-Cov-2 virus. Registered people in the clinical study PREVAL 2 have to undergo blood collection and regular PCR test from saliva (gargling test called GARGTEST) every two weaks. The study's goal is to find out the state of human immunity in connection with covid-19. The results of the research should help scientists determine the dynamics of the spread of the disease.
"Great, good, or no response from the immune system. Each participant gets an overall picture of their own immunity. For example, for people who are hesitant about vaccination or a booster dose, this information can be very helpful. Vaccinated people will then find out how effective the vaccine was, ”explains Juan Bautista de Sanctis, head of the study's immunology department, for the Czech Radio.
