PhD Club: Reprogramming Mutant NPM1 Localization: From Phenotypic Hits to Chemical Insights by Imma Capriello

Dear colleagues,
I would like to invite you to the lecture by Imma Capriello "Reprogramming Mutant NPM1 Localization: From Phenotypic Hits to Chemical Insights". The lecture will be on Wednesday April 29, 2026 at 9 AM in the room 1.09 at IMTM.

Abstract
Mutations in Nucleophosmin 1, such as W288C, drive its aberrant accumulation in the cytoplasm. A phenotypic screen of 1,235 acrylamides identified PHP-5075 as a compound capable of restoring nuclear localization. This work explores the synthesis and evaluation of analogues to uncover structure–activity relationships and probe the underlying mechanism of this unexpected relocalization effect.
