Zbynek is the contact person and coordinator under umbrella of The UPOL-Bioimaging Facility (BF: https://imtm.cz/core-facilities/bioimaging-core-facility) for the purposes of MRI/PET imaging of small animals (mice, rats). This includes whole process from the initial contact with the client asking for an imaging study via plannig of particular imaging up to evaluation of obtained image data using dedicated software tools. In case of any interest for MRI and/or MRI/PET imaging do not hesitate to contant Zbynek. MRI enables high-resulution imaging of whole body and has an advantage in imaging soft tissues (brain, heart, tumors) over to CT. The combination of MRI and PET imaging is cutting edge technology in preclincal imaging merging the advantages of both modalities, where PET adds more functional information to MRI image (e.g. glucose metabolism, expression of tumor targets, etc.).
