PhD Club: Cell-Free Circulating RNA Isolation: Insight into Techniques and Challenges by Anna Sekyrová

Dear colleagues,
I would like to invite you to the lecture by Anna Sekyrová called "Cell-Free Circulating RNA Isolation: Insight into Techniques and Challenges". The lecture will be on Wednesday April 16th at 9AM in room 1.09 at IMTM.

Abstract
Cell-free circulating RNA (cfRNA) within exosomes holds great promise as a source of minimally invasive cancer biomarkers. These extracellular vesicles (30-150 nm) encapsulate diverse RNA species, reflecting cellular states. This presentation compares exosome and exosomal RNA isolation methods: ultracentrifugation and commercial kits (Norgen EXTRAClean, ExoEasy, miRNeasy), evaluating RNA yield and size distribution. The goal is to optimize exosomal RNA isolation from plasma for biomarker discovery and translational research.
