The Experientia Foundation supports young scientists in the field of organic, bioorganic, and medicinal chemistry on internships abroad and in the Czech Republic. This is possible thanks to scientific start-up grants. During the circumstances of COVID 19 pandemic, the Foundation decided to provide our Institute with a donation of CZK 500,000. The team of Marián Hajdúch is currently dedicated to the development, validation, and optimization of diagnostic methods associated with the preparation of samples for testing for COVID-19 and the understanding of the molecular basis of resistance of younger individuals to coronavirus infection. On Friday, October 2, the Experientia founders Mr and Mrs Dvořák visited the IMTM and the Institute's laboratories.
