About me
My research endeavors encompass a multifaceted approach aimed at combating the global burden of tuberculosis (TB) and emerging vector-borne viral diseases. With a primary focus on Mycobacterium tuberculosis, I am dedicated to identifying and assessing the anti-tubercular potential of diverse compounds. Through rigorous in vitro and in vivo studies, I investigate the mechanisms of action of these compounds, seeking to uncover promising candidates for novel TB treatments and enhance our comprehension of how these agents combat the disease. My commitment extends to addressing the pressing need for diagnostics in the realm of infectious diseases. I have contributed to the scaling of facilities for the production of diagnostic kits and reagents essential for the accurate detection of Japanese Encephalitis, Dengue, and Chikungunya viruses. This vital work aims to provide timely and reliable diagnostic solutions for these diseases, with the potential to significantly impact public health.
My research portfolio spans a broad spectrum of infectious diseases, from TB to emerging viral threats, and encompasses diverse facets of scientific investigation, from benchwork to clinical applications. I am committed to advancing the frontiers of knowledge and contributing to the development of novel diagnostic tools and therapeutic strategies to address these global health challenges.
